Words can’t express how grateful I am for Mariette’s support with my second birth (VBAC). As soon as we connected on the phone for the first time I felt at ease and knew I was in good hands. A VBAC mama herself, she believed in me and in the birth experience I wanted. She took the time to connect with me, to comfort me when fears
— Previous Birth Doula Client

Hi, I’m Mariette!

I am located in Denver, Colorado where my husband and I are trying our hardest to raise two hilarious and wild little boys. I am a mental health therapist (LCSW) and I've been seeing post/peri-partum clients for years now and also a very happy certified birth doula (20+ births). I am a VBAC mama myself, which has given me first hand experience with both medicalized and low-intervention births and I am here for whatever it is that makes you feel best: Unmedicated- yes. Epidural immediately- yes. C-section- yes. Silence and yoga studio vibes- yes. Cheerleading and dance club vibes- yes. My aim is to hold the SAFE SPACE for you to do some of the most important work of your life. I'd love to connect with you today.

Services

It’s hard to put into words just how invaluable Mariette was throughout my pregnancy and birth. From the very beginning, she was always available to answer my questions and ease my concerns. There was a point where I felt unsure about my birth plan, and Mariette took the time to really listen, helping me work through my thoughts and come to a decision that felt right. My birth experience turned out to be far better than I could have imagined, and I know that’s because of Mariette’s incredible support. During labor, she wasn’t just there for me—she was also a huge support for my husband, helping him stay calm and feel involved. Her presence made both of us feel cared for and reassured during the entire process.

On top of all that, Mariette’s personality was such a light in our journey. She brought warmth, positivity, and a sense of calm that made all the difference. She truly was a gift to us, and we are endlessly grateful for everything she did. Mariette wasn’t just our doula—she was a trusted teammate and guide, and we couldn’t have asked for anyone better by our side.

What do I love about birth?

I love the sacred and shocking and beautiful work that birth requires. It is the way right now that I MOST love to support women.

What are you like in the birth space?

Because of my mental health background, and maybe because of a past life in theater(?), I think I generally can tap into and flex toward the energy that is needed for each individual and for each stage of birth. There is such a fluidity to this work and I'm so happy to embody that. My constant focus is safety, understanding, and enjoyment of the experience.

Outside of birthwork?

I love gardening, watercoloring, peloton classes, yoga, training for SPRINT triathalons (let's not get too wild here), and singing. Always singing. I carry a pretty deep connection to spirituality and am always trying to attend to my own growth as well as the growth of all the other folks in my care,
